Welcome to our stomping ground. A place where musical
cultures meet to make new sound. Where you've come from and where you're going don't really matter here. Interest in the Slide Didge says you are
open to change and new ideas. We can respect the power of our past and move forward. We hope the Slide Didge will help
you make powerful music.
To get you started, here are some comments and
images from our world wide tribe of Slide Didge players.
Please cruise around and find out who we are and what
people have had to say about the instrument.

When I first started promoting Slide
Didge I met a guy with a Mohawk
haircut. He was a self-confessed genius. I was demonstrating
the instrument to twenty backpackers and he would
not stop asking questions. There was no
doubt in my mind that he was smart.
He managed to use his wits and stay in my
overcrowded flat for a couple of months when I
specifically told him there was no room. We enjoyed
each others company and had a great summer. He
wrote the following:
"We have to tell them that there is more to the
Aboriginal culture than just the didgeridoo, we
have to tell them to appreciate it and learn from
it, but not try and be it, only to be themselves
and to use it in their own way"

Hello Scott
I lugged my Slide Didge with me over the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Three Aussies I met were in my trekking group and after arriving at Machu Picchu, we decided to climb Huaynu Picchu the famous pinnacle overlooking Machu Picchu. They asked me what I was carrying in my green bag and I told them it was a didgeridoo. They refused to believe me insisting that it was a tripod.
Their surprise and amazement when I pulled the didge out at the summit and commenced to play was priceless. The didge music attracted another Aussie from around the corner who kept saying "I don't believe it, I don't believe it! He thought that I was crazy to have carried the didge so far over such a difficult journey. Nevertheless, we five Aussies were feeling jubilant over the sound of the most Australian of all instruments being played in such an exotic and faraway place.
I backpacked my didge through Argentina, Peru and Bolivia and yeh, all the effort was worth it. Could not have done it with a conventional didge. Thanks Scott!
